A Photographic Approach
This place, from a german position covered with most thinkable guilt and blame, is mentally not easily accessible. The sites of the concentration camps, places of unimaginable horror, the Holocaust, probably well know from school lessons, books and movies look surreal today.
The photographs taken between 2012 and 2017 are not intended to contribute to a deeper understanding of that historical crime, but they are a document of personal perception of the present situation.
